Vectory!
An educational game for phones and tablets. Players are introduced to vector maths through ten functions, where they need to think logically and mathematically to reach the goal.
What
Vectory! is aimed at high school students, but can be played by anyone. In the game we introduce ten different functions that focus on ten separate areas of vector maths. The player is introduced to the terms both in space (3D) and on a plane (2D).
Vectory is a puzzle game where each level is solved with logic or patience. The player is for instance introduced to subtraction, as some puzzles must be solved by subtracting one vector from another.

Vectors in space
How
Every level has one or more tasks to solve. These can be typical maths questions, like finding the dot product of two vectors, or a more open assignment, where you use the functions to navigate towards a goal. Besides completing the levels you can collect extra points by completing additional tasks, which require you to think twice about the maths problem.
The levels gradually increase in difficulty, while you get immersed in Vectory’s mathematical universe. When you put down the game, you retain knowledge that can be used not just for the exam, but in real life.
Background
The game and its content exist thanks to the cooperation with Palle Veje Rasmussen, teacher at Ørestad Gymnasium. The game was developed with funding from the Ministry of Education and is used as a supplement to maths teaching in high school, or as an early introduction for secondary school students who are curious about vectors.
